Chlorophytum comosum (Thunb.) Baker.), Chlorophytum is also known as: Sedum, hanging orchid, fishing orchid, orchid, folding crane orchid and air guard. It is also called spider grass or aircraft grass in Western Europe. It is native to South Africa. Monocotyledonous, asparaginaceae, Chlorophytum perennial evergreen herbs, rhizomes flat or oblique, with most plump roots. The leaves are tufted, linear and slender, like orchids. Sometimes there are green or yellow stripes in the middle. The flower stems are pulled out from the leaf clumps and grow into stolons. The leaves are pulled out at the top and clustered into clusters. The flowers are white, often 2-4 in clusters, arranged into scattered racemes or panicles, and sometimes purple petals appear inside; Capsule trigonous oblate, about 5 mm long and 8 mm wide, with 3-5 seeds per chamber.
